The Happy Colors Blanket is a granny square crocheted with Mandala yarn in the colorway Happy. There are so many beautiful and vibrant colors to choose from, the hardest part of making this blanket is choosing a color. 

Granny squares are my go to pattern because of their versatility. They can be one big square or smaller ones joined together to make anything from blankets to bags to clothing. Granny squares are perfect for anyone from beginners to seasoned crocheters looking for a mindless and relaxing project.

Lion Brand Mandala Ombre Yarn in Happy colorway x5 skeins

Size H (5.0) Hook

Yarn Needle

Scissors

Finished Size : 41"x 41"

- The colors can be manipulated to make two rows of stripes or can be left to change naturally.

Happy Colors Blanket

Make a magic circle

Rnd. 1:  Ch. 3( counts as 1st dc) , 2dc into loop.  Ch.3, 3dc.  Ch.3,  3dc,  Ch.3, 3dc. Ch.3 , join with slst. Slst into corner sp. 

Rnd 2:   Ch6,( 1dc and ch, 3), 3dc in same sp. . (3dc, ch.3, 3dc in ch.3 sp. ) Repeat 2 more times to beginning corner. 2dc, join with slst to top of Ch.6. 

Rnd 3:  Ch6, 3dc in same sp.  *3dc in sp. between each cluster to corner. (3dc, ch3. 3dc) in corner sp. ** Repeat from * to ** to beginning corner. 2dc and join with slst to top of ch.6.  slst into ch.3 sp. 

Repeat Rnd 3 to desired size. 

Edging

Rnd. 1:   Ch 3, sc in same sp. * Ch2. skip 2st., 1sc in next st. to corner. (1sc, ch. 2, 1sc ) in ch.3 sp..** Repeat from * to ** to beginning corner. Join to top of ch.3 with slst. Slst into ch.3 sp. 

Rnd. 2: Ch 3, 1sc in same sp. *3sc in each ch2 sp. to corner. (1sc, ch2. 1sc) in corner ch.2 sp ) ** Repeat from * to ** to beginning corner. Join to top of Ch3 with slst.  Slst into ch.3 sp. 

Rnd. 3:  Ch. 4,(1st hdc, ch. 2)  2hdc in same st. *ch. 1,  sk. 1 st., 1hdc in next st. to corner. (2hdc, ch.2, 2hdc) in corner sp. **. Repeat from * to ** to beginning corner. Hdc, join to Ch.4 with slst.  Slst to ch. 4sp. 

Repeat Row 3 two  more times. 

Rnd.6:  Ch.3, 1sc in same st. , *1sc in each stitch across to corner. (1sc, ch.2, 1sc) in corner. **  Repeat from * to ** to beginning corner. Join with slst to top of ch.3. 

Weave in any ends.
