Midnight Waves Blanket

Blanket weather is here again and I do love a good blanket. I want to share one of my favorite patterns. It is my go to when I need to work up something quick for that last minute gift. The corner to corner (C2C) technique is simple but yet versatile. There are so many stitches that can be used to make it. All you need to know are the basic stitches. C2C is simple and works up fast making it perfect for beginners or seasoned crocheters looking for a project to work on while watching your favorite movie. For this blanket I used Caron Big Cakes in the colorway Nightberry. I used just under 2 cakes. Not only do I love the colors but there are very few ends to weave in.
My blanket measured 34" x 36".
Materials:
Caron Big Cakes in Nightberry - I used 1 full cake and 2/3 of a second cake
Hook - 5.5 mm
Scissors
Yarn needle
stitch markers (optional)
Notes:
- I did not control the color changes but let the color changes flow naturally.
- The blanket can be made as a square or rectangle. To make it into a rectangle, decrease on one side only until the desired length is reached and then decrease on both sides to finish the blanket.
